アクセス
東海北陸道 郡上八幡ICから国道256号線を下呂市金山方面へ25分ほど走ったところにあります。また、大滝鍾乳洞や縄文鍾乳洞から近く、15分ほど走ったところにあります。
公共交通機関では、岐阜バス高速バスで郡上八幡または、長良川鉄道郡上八幡駅からタクシーで25分です。また、郡上八幡より八幡観光バスで八幡鍾乳洞前下車、徒歩20分です。
駐車場からほど近くに受付があり、更に2分ぐらい歩くと鍾乳洞入り口が見えてきます。

フローストーンの門がお出迎え。
観光鍾乳洞にはカメが多く見られます。
立派な石筍です。
基本ひたすら登っていきます。ほぼ垂直な階段も多くあり、足元や頭上注意です。
後半になると、鍾乳石のダイナミックさが増してきます。
最後の登り階段。
鍾乳洞を出てから
美山鍾乳洞は入り口と出口が異なります。入洞してアリの巣状の洞窟をひたすら登り、頂上から出る流れです。
疲れた後の絶景はまた格別です。休憩できるスペースもあるので、息を整えてから下っていきましょう。
閉洞の17：00を少し過ぎてしまいましたが、管理の方が待っていてくださいました。ありがとうございました。
時間内であれば、売店や休憩スペースもあります。
また、本格的なケイビングができるツアーもあるそうなので、観光鍾乳洞に物足りなさを感じている方は是非。
Cかず～の感想
「恋人の聖地」と推しているだけあり、カメや安産鍾乳石や、鐘やら鍵などもあり、カップルでも楽しめる所だと思います。ただ、登りが激しく滑りやすいところも多いため、アトラクション感覚での見学を想定しているのであれば注意が必要だと思います。
鍾乳洞大好きのふるこんぼいにとっては、登りは全く苦ではないです。むしろ、同じ鍾乳石を様々な角度から見ることができるので、より一層楽しむことができます。珍しい立体型の鍾乳洞として、一見の価値ありです。
下呂温泉にも比較的近い場所なので、温泉好きにも是非訪れてほしい鍾乳洞です。
